The Assessment:
In your Assessment you should address the following brief: With reference to academic literature, discuss the issues to be considered when analysing research data.

In your response, you must draw on and cite at least four methodological journal articles and two empirical journal articles:
▪ 代写Methodological journals include Organizational Research Methods, Journal of Mixed Methods Research and Qualitative Research (see ‘Reading list’, ‘the literature review’ folder on Blackboard (Bb) or the Library website for more)
▪ Articles that report and discuss the results of academic research projects are to be considered as empirical; examples of journals that include such articles are vast, but include The International Journal of Human Resource Management; Journal of International Business Studies; Work, Employment and Society; Organization Studies; and Academy of Management Journal. For more journal titles, see ‘Module Handbook’, ‘the literature review’ folder on Bb or the Library website

Approaching the Assessment:
In addressing the Assessment brief, it is expected that you will use your knowledge of data analysis (as per methodological literature), to critique not only your chosen analytic approach(es) but also studies reported in empirical articles.
You choose how to address the Assessment brief and we do not wish to be prescriptive, but you might start by considering the data analysis approach that most interests you (this could be the approach that you are likely to use in your future studies or work role). Then, 代写search the methodological literature to source articles that discuss your chosen approach. Following this, search for empirical articles that use your chosen approach to data analysis and critique the study; specifically, critiquing the author(s) data analysis approach against their research aims, design, findings and contributions.
On the other hand, in addressing the Assessment brief, you might choose to critique empirical research that use a different approach to data analysis for a similar data set (e.g. different approaches to the analysis of media news items or interview data); or that use similar approaches to data analysis for different data sets, questions or topics (e.g. content analysis across secondary and primary data).
